Hello all,
Let me first off start by saying thank you. Thank you for all your help guidance and comments throughout the semester, especially thank you to my group mates for being awesome! This course of 5 weeks has flown by super fast. I learned quite a bit including, what a short report is and how to create one. I also learned through my final paper how many children, and people are subjected to sexual violence. My final paper was on art therapy and its uses when it comes to sexually abused children. I may not have wanted to actually know all those statistics, but now I do. I am glad I took this class as it gave me a broader understanding of professionalism in writing and in my field. I also am glad that I took the time to reevaluate my career path, and am happy to say, I still want to persue art therapy. Happy trails everyone.
Keep smiling.

Resume
Hello,
This week the task was to update or create your Resume. I did that, however I was not comfortable posting on my blog, as people from everywhere can see that and I did not want all that information out in the public, as some of the information is not my information to share, such as references numbers and previous employees number. I am just posting this to let you know that I did not forget about the assignment, I just submitted it straight to our professor. Thank you.
Keep smiling.

Professionalism
Hello all,
This week we were asked to redo our blog as if to show more professionalism, so that is what I did. Today I changed my background from a kidish dandelion to a clean cut orange background, all though it does not seem like much, I did not have much on my blog for photographs or anything else that could be put to be more professional. The only picture I do have is a picture of myself that was professionally done, to be used as a professional head shot. Hope you feel that my blog is more professional than it once was.
Keep smiling.

Teamwork
So I just realized this 'failed to post' the first time I tried so hopefully it works now.
Teamwork is key in life, if you do not have the skill to work with others you will have a hard time in life. An example of when I worked on a team was in Australia on a project for my class. Actually I had two groups that I worked in while I was abroad, both had their share of challenges. In both groups I was in, I was the only native English speaker, making more than one thing difficult. In one instance we had to write a paper, in which we each wrote our own parts, then they sent it to me and I pieced everything together and made the changes that needed to be made. This proved to be very challenging, we had two Chinese students and one student from Denmark in our group including me. When they sent me their parts a good majority of the work did not make sense because of the difference in talking styles. Considering English, and grammar are not my strong suites I relied on my cousin to help with editing, and she had as much trouble as I did piecing it all together. In the second instance I again was the only native English speaker. This one was difficult in its own way. My team consisted of a Russian girl, a Chinese girl, and myself. The young Russian girl, did not know much about the culture of school here in the United States, and thought we just liked to goof off, so when we started to get working on our presentation she was very bossy and was not giving me much kindness. I found this group really hard to work in because, I felt inferior to everyone else in the group, and they did not let me show them my work ethic. Overall we did very well on the project, but the feeling of inferiority was not a good one.
The teams that we have made in Writing Professions is going to be different in the fact that we are all native Americans. I also feel that having groups of people with similar interests makes writing and group work much easier.
There is no 'I' in team.
Keep smiling.
